Contemporary art flowers for the modern Home

Artificial flowers are popular decorative objects in the House for many generations, however, the past ten years, this trend faded. Why is this? Maybe it's because these flowers in the days of the old painstakingly hand made with fine materials like silk and nylon. In more recent years, however, artificial flowers made from poor quality cheap plastic and can be found in supermarkets, bargain shops and traditional floral shops alike. In this modern world has changed, perhaps the real reason for the decline, however, is the way trends in home decor. If you are still shopping around, you'll find many stores selling good quality artificial flowers and artificial flower arrangements, but many of these decorations may also traditional and old old-fashioned for a place in the modern home today.

The modern home base for many is minimalist. Decorative and flowers wallpapers are long gone for plain painted walls with one or maybe two accents of color. These accents are made by using simple and basic decorations such as an abstract wall hanging, soft furniture such as cushions and pillows, or perhaps a strategically placed fruit bowl, candle or vase. No place for traditional artificial flower arrangements ... ... until now.

In the past few months (2010) a new wave of modern fake flowers are formed in many styles, colors and materials that make the decor or style, pride of place in any modern home finds

The first of these that are discussed are the net flowers. Made of same material as nylon stockings were ever popular, this more than 50 years ago but have now re-emerged. With modern techniques these paints are now available in almost every color you can imagine, and not just the boring neutral colours of yesteryear. The flowers are made by hand by the petals of metallic thread shape and stretching the nylon net over the top than carefully binding them together to form the flower heads. The heads are then bound to stems to form a settlement. These are available in many styles and abstract with resemblance to their natural counterparts. The net flowers have grown tremendously in popularity at the end of 2010 and are fast becoming the number one alternative to traditional wedding flowers.

Glazed flowers are the most recent style of artificial flowers which have arisen in the market. The more compact petals are made of wire similar to the nylon flowers but rather than having fabric stretched over the petals, they are glazed with a transparent lacquer which gives the effect that is made of glass. Remarkably, these are very flexible and resistant to damage and as such can be displayed in each room and as a compliment in the bathroom or kitchen fine as they would in a lounge. One or more colors can be added to the paint create some stunning effects.

Not to forget the flowers. Although not entirely new, its flowers now available in modern colours to popular modern touches such as lime green, teal, eggplant, and hot pink but a few.

In short artificial flower pieces back in fashion. Unlike the flowers of the past, the new wave of artificial flowers might be regarded as decorative objects instead of fake flowers. With vibrant colors, new materials and many styles there will be something that every modern life or workspace will compliment.
